Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is about a young girl named Katniss along with other characters who are in a game that determines whether they live or die. Basically, the setting of this story takes place in Panem (apparently it is in North America after certain devastating situation.) There are 12 districts which are made up of the poor people of Panem. There was once 13 districts instead of 12 but since the 13th district was destroyed the rich people of Panem decide to make up an event called 'The Hunger Games'. The Hunger Games calls out kids from each district to fight to the death for the entertainment of others. Katniss meets a boy named Peeta in which they are taken to the Capitol and are taught on what to do during the Hunger Games. During the Hunger Games Katniss goes through some traumatic events which causes the emotion of the story to be sad and depressive. However, in the end Katniss is able to get through her problems, and along with Peeta, she wins the Hunger Games

  Some people say this book should be banned because it tells us about kids are fighting to kill each other in order to entertain those who want action. I do not think this book should be banned because it is a great book and teaches us about survival. Honestly in a few years this book would be considered a classic and is a great journey to read. It can sometimes get sad and relate to the audience.
